Choirs & Ensembles
“With jubilation, sing!”
Chancel Choir (high school – adult)
Each week during the 11:00 Traditional worship service, the Chancel Choir join in jubilation to sing their praises, prayers and petitions to God. This group of faithful singers is made up of individuals ranging in age from college students to retirees. Four undergraduate students also participate as part of our scholarship singers program.
On any given Sunday, you will hear a variety of music that combines with the liturgy of the day to move us towards closer relationship to God. You may hear a spiritual, a movement from an ancient mass, or a contemporary composer such as K. Lee Scott or John Rutter. The choir’s repertoire also includes larger works such as Mack Wilberg’s “Requiem”, Schubert’s Mass in G, or the dynamic Christmas story told through jazz, “A Jazz Nativity.”
Youth Ensemble (grades 6 – 12)
A dynamic group of young people, grades 6 – 12 that share their talents for God and this congregation one to two times a month. They sing all kinds of music and enjoy just being together! Rehearsals take place Sunday afternoons at 4 pm in the sanctuary, and new voices are always welcome.
Kids’ Ring and Sing (grades K – 5)
A great hour for our kids to learn how to ring and to enjoy singing together. Their motto is “have fun and praise the Lord”. . .and they do just that each Sunday afternoon at 5 pm in the sanctuary.
